Happy Mother's Day...

Feeling a bit sentimental right now, so I thought I would spill it all out here.

I LOVE being a Mom...I KNOW how lucky I am to be able to be a Mom everyday and especially on Mother's Day! I still have twinges of past Mother's Days when I thought I would never get to be a Mom, when I hated Mother's Day...another constant reminder of how I was not up to par, always a new month of disappointment...how I was terribly sad, how it seemed EVERYONE around me was pregnant...I know there are people that were out there today feeling the same things I used to feel. If by some chance you are one of the ones reading this...know you are not alone. Although it may feel like the whole world knows nothing of what you are going through...there are people out here that do understand and have been there! Keep on believing and never give up!

I also know how lucky I am to have my Mom on Mother's Day...I reminded myself of this and tried to take in all the time with her I could today. We argue like sisters sometimes, but I know how special she is and how lucky I am to have a wonderful Mom. I feel so badly for my husband that he is not able to put his arms around his Mom anymore and to be able to tell her Happy Mother's Day...I also feel badly for my son that he will never get to do this with her either.

So...I guess I am just counting my blessings today. I am a lucky girl. My life is in God's hands, I need to think of this everyday! :)

On a lighter note...today is Spencer's birthday!!! :) I love that my first baby's birthday is on Mother's Day...pretty special. This is the 2nd time it has happened this way. He loved his ice cream tonight! :)

AWESOME post - very touching and heartfelt (would make great journaling) and I agree - a lot of people know just how you feel....awful when the one thing you so desire more than anything in the world doesn't happen : ( My BF went through this for years and finally adopted two wonderful children from Korea - she felt God had that plan for her and those kids were made for her!

Happy bday to your furry friend!
