Betty Kit...

We had a special kit at The Scrapbook Site this month and it was my favorite ever, I think. Really beautiful and FUN! I loved working with the colors and all the awesome things that came in the kit. Here are some of my creations from it! :)

WOW...I have been slacking!!!

I can not believe I haven't posted since May 30th. Summer seems to be so busy and go by so fast! I'll post some new pics of the boy in a few days! Promise! :)

Happy Mother's Day...

Feeling a bit sentimental right now, so I thought I would spill it all out here.

I LOVE being a Mom...I KNOW how lucky I am to be able to be a Mom everyday and especially on Mother's Day! I still have twinges of past Mother's Days when I thought I would never get to be a Mom, when I hated Mother's Day...another constant reminder of how I was not up to par, always a new month of disappointment...how I was terribly sad, how it seemed EVERYONE around me was pregnant...I know there are people that were out there today feeling the same things I used to feel. If by some chance you are one of the ones reading this...know you are not alone. Although it may feel like the whole world knows nothing of what you are going through...there are people out here that do understand and have been there! Keep on believing and never give up!

I also know how lucky I am to have my Mom on Mother's Day...I reminded myself of this and tried to take in all the time with her I could today. We argue like sisters sometimes, but I know how special she is and how lucky I am to have a wonderful Mom. I feel so badly for my husband that he is not able to put his arms around his Mom anymore and to be able to tell her Happy Mother's Day...I also feel badly for my son that he will never get to do this with her either.

So...I guess I am just counting my blessings today. I am a lucky girl. My life is in God's hands, I need to think of this everyday! :)

On a lighter note...today is Spencer's birthday!!! :) I love that my first baby's birthday is on Mother's Day...pretty special. This is the 2nd time it has happened this way. He loved his ice cream tonight! :)

Disney Days...

Wow..what a fun weekend. These were definitely Disney Days. :)

Last night we went to see *Meet the Robinsons* in 3D. It was such a great movie. Of couse I cried...I am such a sap. Ds really liked it too. Mom went with us while hubby and Dad went to see *300*.

Then today, we went to see Disney on Ice...wow...it was incredible! So much fun! We had the best seats in the house...front row, right on the ice. Geppetto wanted to take my son home with him because he thought he was Pinnochio...pretty neat! :)

At the end he got to be right next to the rink and shake everyone's hand. That was so cool!!! He was a little shy and kept coming back to the seat, so I went up with him. He would keep hugging me and smiling inbetween characters. I got tears in my eyes. So special...I am even more ready to take him to Disney World now!

I took over 100 pics, here are some highlights. The glasses one is from the movie...too cute, he actually kept them on and was interested in the whole movie!
The sword he got and shaking Buzz Lightyear's hand were the best parts for him. (He liked the whale in Pinnochio too, but I didn't get very good shots of that!)

Being a Mom gives me the chance to be a kid again! :) Love it!

Milestone and Signs of SPRING???

Last weekend was Easter...first one I can remember with snow on the ground. The egg hunt was fun in the snow. :)

Dh and I have now been married for 10 years and 2 days...hard to believe. Time goes sooo very fast!

Today surprise, surprise...it IS SNOWING AGAIN!!! UGH! There is quite a bit on the ground, I had to go out and take some pics.

Changes...

Seems like the past two days have been a time for changes in many ways...
The first is evident in this picture. The past week has been beautiful 70 + degree weather. Today...SNOW and 26 degrees! ACK! Just had to pose Superman out to get a pic of it. This will be a great addition to my Everyday in April album I am working on. :)

The other changes are what might be coming realating to my design job at the LSS...after 3 years I might be ending my time there, I just think it may be time. Bittersweet, I guess... we'll see what happens.

Beautiful days...

I love that it is now Spring. That means outside for us. Seems like life gets more busy now. This past weekend revolved around Mom's birthday. We all went out on Saturday to dinner at Outback and shopping, Sunday was cake and a small party, then yesterday ds and I went to breakfast and followed Mom and Dad around.
Mom was in search of a small *couch* for her new bathroom. She ended up finding one at a Porch and Patio place...the boy had a ball playing on all the playground equipment they sold there. The weather was so beautiful the past few days...mid to upper 70's with a slight breeze. It could stay this way all year and I would be very happy! :)
Tonight he starts swimming lessons. I am very excited and yet a little nervous. Not of the water, but how he will follow directions from another adult. Should be interesting. :)

Busy Week...

No, I did not scrap all of these this week! LOL! :)
Actually I have done NO SCRAPPING this week! :(
It has been a very busy one...Shopping with Mom on Monday, Scrapping Party on Tuesday, Hair Appointment for me and the boy on Wednesday. Luckily Bridge to Terabithia with my nieces was moved to next Monday. My Close To My Heart party is next Thursday, so that will be a busy one as well.

So, amid all the business, I decide to take on a HUGE project!!!!
I am rearranging all of my albums. I want to get them all into some sort of system.
The pile of pages have never even been in an album. *blush*

Hobby Lobby had an album sale this week so I bought 3 new ones that are easier to add and take away from...so I have ideas running around how I want to arrange things...we'll see how it goes. Hope to have it well underway tonight! :)

Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs...

I am always looking for signs...after losing someone so vital in my life, it is a way for looking for answers, I guess. I have gotten many signs that helped me to go forward and to make certain decisions...most of which came in songs. There have been subtle other ways as well. I don't always recognize them at first, sometimes, never...but I am sure they are there. A good friend of mine called them streetlights. I always remember that.

I took these pictures in November. I was on my way to the scrapbook store to either pick up work or turn in work, I don't remember that now. But I was just going through all the things in my life and where I should go with it...all of a sudden I rounded the bend...and there it was, a sign...the most beautiful sunset I had ever sign...and an almost spotlight from God shining down.

Of course I had my camera with me. I pulled over and got some quick shots.
I keep them posted in my scrapbook room...they are not my best work...I see the flaws in them each time I see them (the over hanging telephone lines for one). But I keep them up to remind me that The One capable of creating such beauty has a plan for my beautiful life that I just need to be patient for.

Being patient is hard... :)

Simple Wishes...

My son likes to listen to music to fall asleep to. He has several lullaby ones to choose from. The one he likes lately has *Twinkle Twinkle Little Star* on it which most nights I can hear him belting it out from the other room. :)
It also has *When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are. Every wish your heart desires will come to you* on it. He likes me to sing this to him at least once a day now, it seems. Today, he came to me and asked me to sing it to him (because I have such a LOVELY singing voice! LOL!).
When I got done singing it, I asked him what he wished for when he wished on stars. He said *Stars*, I said...*NO, what do you really want?* He said. *The Bat Sub*.

Ahh...the simpleness and innocence of childhood...why can't it last forever?

Monday, Monday...

Another Monday...just me and the boy again. Sadly, I think he is getting a cold. :( He was up until 2:00 am, must have been why.

Just relaxing today, getting laundry caught up and hopefully going to do some scrapping sometime today.

Yesterday we went sledding with my Mom and the guys watched the Daytona 500. We were bummed that Mark Martin was so close to winnning and ended up losing a very close one to Kevin Harvick...yes, he was the bad guy! :(

Did a mini photo shoot...this is my favorite one of my boy and me! :) A happy Mom, that's me!!! :)

My Wish...

Did this layout last weekend...just playing around and it all came together for me. I knew as soon as I heard Rascal Flatts *My Wish* I had to put the words down for my son. Music is one of the biggest parts of my life and I want that for my son, too.

My Mom would always give me songs too. I remember in college she came for a visit for my birthday and she brought the single of *Forever Young* by Rod Stewart to give to me...saying it was our song. I cried! Funny how she was the age I am now with a college student and I have a 4 year old.

I wish I could give him a sibling, the wish seems to be more for him now than it is for me. I am perfectly happy with him, but I would like him to have a brother or sister. I miss not having that now that I am older.

Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Just had to show some pictures of my little guy with one of his Valentine's presents he got this morning. I always call him Monkey Booty...so I couldn't resist this cute little Monkey covered in hearts...he loves it. His new friend! :)

Here I go AGAIN...

Well, almost a year later and I am going to try this Blog thing again...we'll see. Just humoring my friends at The Scrapbook Site for now! :)
Today the boy and I played in the snow...his favorite part was throwing snow balls at Mom.
Didn't last long...pretty cold out there. His suit was a tad bit too short since it is from last year. But the Hot Cocoa and Popcorn made up for it! :)
