Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs...

I am always looking for signs...after losing someone so vital in my life, it is a way for looking for answers, I guess. I have gotten many signs that helped me to go forward and to make certain decisions...most of which came in songs. There have been subtle other ways as well. I don't always recognize them at first, sometimes, never...but I am sure they are there. A good friend of mine called them streetlights. I always remember that.

I took these pictures in November. I was on my way to the scrapbook store to either pick up work or turn in work, I don't remember that now. But I was just going through all the things in my life and where I should go with it...all of a sudden I rounded the bend...and there it was, a sign...the most beautiful sunset I had ever sign...and an almost spotlight from God shining down.

Of course I had my camera with me. I pulled over and got some quick shots.
I keep them posted in my scrapbook room...they are not my best work...I see the flaws in them each time I see them (the over hanging telephone lines for one). But I keep them up to remind me that The One capable of creating such beauty has a plan for my beautiful life that I just need to be patient for.

Being patient is hard... :)

Simple Wishes...

My son likes to listen to music to fall asleep to. He has several lullaby ones to choose from. The one he likes lately has *Twinkle Twinkle Little Star* on it which most nights I can hear him belting it out from the other room. :)
It also has *When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are. Every wish your heart desires will come to you* on it. He likes me to sing this to him at least once a day now, it seems. Today, he came to me and asked me to sing it to him (because I have such a LOVELY singing voice! LOL!).
When I got done singing it, I asked him what he wished for when he wished on stars. He said *Stars*, I said...*NO, what do you really want?* He said. *The Bat Sub*.

Ahh...the simpleness and innocence of childhood...why can't it last forever?

Monday, Monday...

Another Monday...just me and the boy again. Sadly, I think he is getting a cold. :( He was up until 2:00 am, must have been why.

Just relaxing today, getting laundry caught up and hopefully going to do some scrapping sometime today.

Yesterday we went sledding with my Mom and the guys watched the Daytona 500. We were bummed that Mark Martin was so close to winnning and ended up losing a very close one to Kevin Harvick...yes, he was the bad guy! :(

Did a mini photo shoot...this is my favorite one of my boy and me! :) A happy Mom, that's me!!! :)

My Wish...

Did this layout last weekend...just playing around and it all came together for me. I knew as soon as I heard Rascal Flatts *My Wish* I had to put the words down for my son. Music is one of the biggest parts of my life and I want that for my son, too.

My Mom would always give me songs too. I remember in college she came for a visit for my birthday and she brought the single of *Forever Young* by Rod Stewart to give to me...saying it was our song. I cried! Funny how she was the age I am now with a college student and I have a 4 year old.

I wish I could give him a sibling, the wish seems to be more for him now than it is for me. I am perfectly happy with him, but I would like him to have a brother or sister. I miss not having that now that I am older.

Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Just had to show some pictures of my little guy with one of his Valentine's presents he got this morning. I always call him Monkey Booty...so I couldn't resist this cute little Monkey covered in hearts...he loves it. His new friend! :)

Here I go AGAIN...

Well, almost a year later and I am going to try this Blog thing again...we'll see. Just humoring my friends at The Scrapbook Site for now! :)
Today the boy and I played in the snow...his favorite part was throwing snow balls at Mom.
Didn't last long...pretty cold out there. His suit was a tad bit too short since it is from last year. But the Hot Cocoa and Popcorn made up for it! :)
